Supporting Ireland’s largest student enterprise programme
Content Plan manages the social media requirements for the National Student Enterprise Programme, an initiative of the Local Enterprise Office Network.
The programme supports more than 30,000 second-level students each year, helping young people learn how to create, develop and present their own business ideas .
About National Student Enterprise Programme
The National Student Enterprise Programme is delivered through the Local Enterprise Office Network and is one of Ireland’s most significant enterprise education initiatives for second-level students.
It involves schools, students, teachers, Local Enterprise Offices and national stakeholders across the country.
The challenge
The programme needed a digital communications partner that could manage a national campaign across multiple regions while keeping the content engaging, balanced and accessible.
The work required:
- National campaign planning
- Content for different stages of the student journey
- Balanced promotion across all Local Enterprise Office areas
- Live event coverage
- Video production
- Student-focused content
- Evergreen resources
- Stakeholder visibility
Our approach
Content Plan has managed the programme’s full social media requirements from 2015 to present.
This includes digital strategy, platform-optimised content, real-time live event coverage at National Finals, virtual live events, evergreen educational content and video production for the National Final.
Creating a campaign journey
Content Plan created a high-level content calendar for each phase of the Student Enterprise Programme.
This ensured the campaign supported students, teachers and Local Enterprise Offices from early awareness through to regional finals and the National Final.
Balancing national and local stories
The programme operates across the Local Enterprise Office Network, so the content needed to reflect national scale while still giving visibility to local stories.
Content Plan created content that promoted student enterprise activity across different counties and regions in a fair and consistent way.
Supporting live and virtual events
Content Plan managed live event coverage for National Finals in venues including Croke Park, DCU and Mullingar.
The team also supplied virtual live events to support student engagement and provided video production and editing for National Final content.
Results
This project worked because Content Plan understood both the enterprise education audience and the Local Enterprise Office network.
The team created content that was practical, encouraging and easy to engage with, while also supporting the national profile of the programme.
